Vlastiks run for kids

On Saturday I went for a run with Vlastik Skvaril who is running from Tasmania to Cape York to raise money for Camp Quality. The event went well, and the sausage sizzle and raffle at New Farm park raised just under $400. I ran to New Farm from home, had a few sausages, then ran with Vlastik through the Valley and up Gympie Road. Vlastik is very nice and he talks a lot... I am sorry but I could not talk back, I can't talk while I am running. He has lots of stories to tell, and he told Davo, Lindsay and I how he started running and all the Ultras he has done.
I went shopping Saturday afternoon and fell in a pot-hole and sprained my ankle. Stupid - I spend all morning running and nothing happens, then I go for a 10 minute walk to the shops and injure myself. Sprained ankles are funny things, they feel ok till it gets cold. I didn't run on Sunday and instead did a 7k walk, which was a little painful, but did a 10k run this afternoon and felt fine. Am feeling pretty fit actually, running seems effortless, I have a good feeling about Townsville - dare I say it - maybe a PB?
The pic up top is from Gold Coast at about the 42k mark - I was in a cranky mood at the time, but it doesn't show.

It was nice to catch up at the Vlastik barby. Did he didn't give you any ideas about even longer runs than what you are already doing ;-)
Hope that ankle doesn't give you too much grief.
Man, I should read my comments before hitting 'enter' - "did he didn't" ???
that's at 42k! you look like you are cruising, and cheering.
She always looks stupid-happy when she runs... do you think that's maybe because she enjoys it??? ;) Love your work, Lady.
